Script Development

Throughout the course of writing the script for my documentary, I made various amendments post feedback. After the first feedback I got I made changes to the detail of the descriptions of the rooms, I added more camera directions and information on how the shot looks. Then after those changes were made I added the off screen icons '(O.S)' next to each 'interviewer' tag line to show I am not in the shot during the interviews. I have also made adjustments to the synopsis and log line on the front page, describing a little more about what the documentary is about and the main content throughout. Overall the feedback was very useful and helped me understand how a script works for a documentary.

Application of post production techniques (Video)

For the title of each person I introduced into the documentary I had a title. I didnt use any colour corrections or filters for the clips but I added a transitional fade to the titles. This made it a smooth process of introducing the names of each cast member.

Application of post production techniques (audio)

For the audio I had to match up and sync it with the recording from the external microphone. This is one of the most elementary starting points for video and audio to work well together put it can be a careful process.

Certification Classification

I think that my short film would take the form of a U. There are no swear words, no violence, no offensive language, no nudity and nothing that could be deemed as unsuitable. The only issue would be is that it is a sensitive subject and the people in the video excluding the staff have to give permission for the video to be shown anywhere, along with permission from the line managers there. This is the reason it is tricky for the video to be online as I signed a document stating I will not show or share the video with anyone before A. showing all of the band members and staff the video and B. get permission from everyone in the video and cut out any unwanted footage that they may deem as offensive or that they don't like. I would still give the film a rating of U in terms of it's content as their is nothing unsuitable or inappropriate.
